About Us

Intervention activities are undertaken by our Foundation's Animal Protection Inspectors almost every day.

We are an organized group that has undergone a number of training courses in law and first aid for animals, which gives us extensive skills in properly carrying out interventions.

We are proficient in the Animal Protection Act,
knowledge of which is essential to properly advocating for
animals. Many interventions conclude in court,
securing a fair sentence for the crime committed.

EDUCATIONS

Since the inception of our foundation, we have actively organized a variety of educational meetings aimed at both children and adults, focusing on responsible pet ownership and animal welfare. Through these sessions, we emphasize that having a dog—or any other pet—is not a burden, but a privilege that comes with responsibilities. Our interventions often turn into teachable moments, where we hope that even brief, unannounced visits might leave a lasting impression on those we reach. We also extend our educational efforts to include collaboration with Village Heads, whose involvement plays a crucial role in improving the living conditions and treatment of animals in their communities. Together, we aim to build a more compassionate society where every animal is respected and properly cared for.

TREATMENT

Unfortunately, during our interventions, we encounter tremendous physical suffering among animals. Starvation, worm infestations, fractures, untreated animals, animals injured in accidents, and more. We will never leave any animal unattended. We will provide every animal with veterinary care and any other assistance they need.

FUNDACJA "WIELKOPOLSKI INSPEKTORAT OCHRONY ZWIERZĄT" is a non-profit animal welfare foundation operating in the heart of Poland. We are a dedicated team of animal rights advocates, legal experts, educators, and volunteers, united by one purpose: to defend the voiceless.

Since our inception, we have led hundreds of intervention actions, saved countless animals from abusive conditions, and worked to prosecute offenders under the Animal Protection Act. Our inspectors are not only skilled in the law but are also trained in emergency animal care, ensuring that no creature we rescue is left without medical attention or a path to recovery.

In addition to rescue and intervention, we run a compassionate and structured Adoption Department. Each potential home is carefully vetted to ensure that our rescued animals are placed in safe, loving, and lifelong environments. We also cooperate with temporary foster homes, which provide transitional care to animals in need.

Our work is deeply rooted in community engagement. Whether through public education campaigns, school programs, or partnerships with local authorities like Village Heads, we aim to change hearts and minds, fostering a culture where empathy toward animals becomes second nature.

Despite limited resources, we remain relentless. Every donation, every volunteer, and every supporter helps us extend our reach, heal more animals, and educate more people.

We believe that every animal—regardless of species, breed, or background—deserves to live a life free from suffering, abuse, and neglect.

We work tirelessly through daily interventions, legal actions, education, and community collaboration to ensure that animals are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. Our team of trained Animal Protection Inspectors, educated in animal law and veterinary first aid, responds to cases of cruelty and neglect with professionalism and compassion. When needed, we initiate legal proceedings to ensure justice is served.

We also recognize the power of education in shaping a more compassionate future. Through workshops, school visits, village meetings, and direct conversations during interventions, we strive to raise awareness about responsible animal guardianship and the emotional and physical needs of pets. Our goal is not just to react to harm—but to prevent it through knowledge and empathy.

We are committed to creating a society where animals are not seen as property or burdens, but as sentient beings worthy of care, love, and protection. Through our adoption program, we also ensure rescued animals find the warm, permanent homes they deserve.
